Our story
From a status meeting to a daily-rhythm bot
The itch
One too many status meetings
Sup started from a simple frustration: the daily stand-up that pulled a whole team into a call to sync a handful of people. The updates were useful, the meeting wasn't. There had to be a way to keep everyone aligned without stealing everyone's morning.
The move to chat
Meet teams where they already work
So we moved the ritual into the tool the team never leaves. Sup asks its questions right inside Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Webex - no new app, no extra login - and hands back one clean summary. Standing meetings became async check-ins that everyone answers on their own time.
The bigger picture
More than stand-ups
Once check-ins lived in chat, the rest of a team's rhythm followed. Leave requests, quick polls, and a daily read on how people are doing all moved into the same place - connected to the calendars and sheets teams already rely on. One bot for the whole daily rhythm.
Why we do it
Good teams don't need more meetings.
They need more clarity.
Marathon syncs, interrupted mornings, and spreadsheet leave-tracking drain the energy teams should be spending on real work. We believe alignment is a byproduct of good habits, not long calendars and that transparency, trust, and a visible pulse on how people are doing make teams both happier and faster. That's the product we keep building, feedback by feedback.
